I must have read the entire series inside of a month's time. Completely loved the plot and assorted characters. I'm delighted that the author will continue the series for two more books — as it really did feel like this book required a sequel. The Praetor hints at seeing future events which are yet unresolved, involving Ilan and Terrac. Ilan has received the Praetor's pardon — and "a year and a day" reprieve of related duties — however the Praetor remains clueless of their kinship. Terrac has just shown up to be her body guard during a journey with Hadrian to the mystical hills of Camdon. It's obvious there's some unfinished writing here. And readers are definitely eager for more. :)

Redemption of Thieves Legends of Dimmingwood Book 4 eBook C Greenwood Reviews

I have enjoyed all of the series of this series and look forward to your next series. I believe there is so much more the author could tell us about the life of my new favorite thief! She succeeded in leaving the reader wanting more in Redemption of Thieves so I guess I'll just have to wait for the rest of the story. I would like to say that so far she has left all the writing so that I can enjoy it and share it with my children and I appreciate that. I have found so many novels that I have enjoyed that my 11 and 13 year old boys would love to read and I'd like to share with them, unfortunately cannot because of the sexual interaction in it that makes it just inappropriate for young readers. My only complaint, so to speak is that the books are s bit short. I love long novels because I read through short books so quickly that if their isn't a followup book ready to read I'm disappointed. Overall a great read and i
I will be reading the next series to come!
This was a good adventure story and the characters are very endearing if they are criminals. The first book was my favorite but you cannot dismiss the rest of the adventure and witty story lines. Lamora is an engaging and exciting character. I would recommend this book for those who like an ever changing story with keeps one guessing what comes next. Well written.
Greenwood has a way of drawing you into the story so skillfully you are a part before you realize. The characters are people you want to know. Ilan continues to grow. Fast to read, some violence but not graphic and refreshingly no sex. It's nice to read a book that doesn't need to include sex to keep a reader involved. That's good writing.
This was a satisfying ending to a fun series. Many modern fictions are inundated with the archetypal hero who lacks any flaws and is perfect in their interactions with others. This series is different. Greenwood really catches human nature in a much more realistic way than most authors do. Yes, human nature is capable of choosing to do something heroic and selfless as shown in The Hound's decision to protect the villagers and in her attempt to save Terrac and also in her ultimate decision to set aside the bow on which she has become highly dependent because it is negatively affecting her. But it is also capable of callous, heartless, treacherous decisions as when The Hound allows Terrac to be taken by the Fists in order to serve her purposes. However, the true spirit of the hero shines through in the sense of guilt after ruthless actions and a striving for improvement and for fixing what we can in the messy aftermath. In this sense, The Hound is one of the first realistic female heroes that has been portrayed in modern fiction in that it accepts the tenuous nature of human goodness and then powerfully delves into what can be done to create something lasting a hero.
Got the first book free so I happily paid for the 2nd and 3rd. But I bought the 4th and realized they were getting shorter and shorter in length. 191 pages for book 1 then 181, 175, 168 and now 159 pages for book 5? As much as I am enjoying these books I'm feeling like I'm being taken advantage of. So I'm giving up having spent $9 and enjoying every penny.
Story and writing I would give 5 stars, but I'm giving this only 3 because it was only a little longer than a novella. Also, there were unresolved issues in this book. I was very surprised at the abrupt ending in this and had the feeling, author was working on a deadline and needed to turn in "something" so skimped a little. Unexpected from this author. I was very pleased to read the note to readers at the end that the author had decided to add more books to the series. I'm very much looking forward to those books and definitely plan to buy.
Undoubtedly I've had my doubts and issues with this series. The author seems new and slightly inexperienced and some parts of the series don't make sense or don't flow the way you obviously think they should. However I do love this series! Other books maybe moved too slowly with no true plot development but this book really impressed me. I came in not knowing what to expect but it is truly creative and well thought out. The suspense drove me mad with anticipation. I can tell the author is growing in her talent and abilities through Ilan's story and I am eager to read more of her work. In the end great story and enchanting series!
