Soman Chainani's series continues with an excellent addition. The complexity of the plot develops throughout the series as it did in books for similar age groups like Harry Potter. Quests is very much more focused on the Woods than the previous installments. No longer simply Agatha and Sophie's story, Quests for Glory continues to build on the previous trilogy's premise.

The books have definitely gotten more mature but this is by far the best book in the series. With backstabbing betrayals and turns as slithery and winding as a ... Snake!(inside joke) By far a great read!
I haven't read these books but my 10 yr old reads then in a couple of hours, the story is engaging and interesting enough that keeps her wanting more.
some of the characters seem to lose their mojo in this book but the story itself was great. I was happy at the ending of the last book whereas the ending on this one made me sad and immediately wanting the next book.
I knew who the protagonist was from the beginning and it was a bit long winded. I still love Sophie and Agatha's friendship, though.
My 9 year old daughter LOVED reading these books ( 1 to 4 ). She received many Accelerated Reader ( AR ) points after taking the AR quizzes for the books at her school. They are 2 grade levels above her grade but she zipped through them because she loved them so much. She is hoping a 5th book is written.

This series was supposed to be a trilogy, and that trilogy was good, if somewhat convoluted and, well, a little irritating, but now, I think the author is just trying to see how many books into which he can squeeze big words and telegraphed twists. My advice? “Dude, it’s enough.”
